My name is Sarah and I am a practising counsellor in Tiverton and Witheridge. I am committed to providing counselling (and psychotherapy) in a safe, confidential environment. I am here to listen to you. You will be free to express yourself without fear of judgement or criticism. Together we will find ways of working through your present feelings and thoughts. This will enable you to move forwards in a more positive, happier and rewarding way.
I am genuine, warm, open, caring, compassionate, honest and non-judgemental. I understand how daunting it can be to come to the realisation that you need to make changes to certain aspects of your life. I also know how difficult it can be to take that first huge step to contact me and arrange an initial appointment. Once we meet, I hope to alleviate your fears, and put you at ease so that you will feel that you are in a safe place where you will be heard.
My clients are all ages and from different walks of life. Each client brings their own unique experiences, concerns, anxieties, hopes, fears, wishes and goals. We meet weekly for hour long sessions, which can be on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period.
The process of counselling is based on the quality of our relationship, built on mutual trust and respect. Together we will explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. These may be blocking your ability to move forward. This can help you to understand the reasons for the confusion, worries and distress. This can also help you to understand your present and your past. We can discuss using different strategies to enable you to move towards a more positive, rewarding and fulfilled way of being.
